Do you give artists rough mixes?

Generally not.

When is payment due?

Half is due at the start of the project and the other half is due upon delivery of the first mix (or master, etc). Of course full payment up front is also fine (and preferred!), but there are no exceptions to these unless we’ve discussed otherwise.

Do we get to keep the raw tracks, stems, and mix sessions?

Yes, yes, and no (respectively). The raw tracks you record with me are your property, so you want ‘em, you got ‘em! I will happily include whatever stem combinations you need with the final mix/master, as well as any sounds that you may need sampled versions of for live performances. That’s included with the mixing fee. You are not entitled to the mix sessions as those are my intellectual property.
